U.S. Army chaplains have a vital role to play in representing American values during key engagements with religious leaders and helping their commanders understand the religious landscape. I was privileged to address Army chaplains from the Indo-Pacific theater at the Strategic Religious Partnership Training in Hawaii. I emphasized the crucial connection between ongoing religious persecution in this vast region and U.S. objectives to ensure a secure, stable, and free Indo-Pacific.
My article, co-written with Melissa Nozell, "In Religious Conflicts, Bolstering the Role of Military Chaplains," was included in the USARPAC-OCCH publication Strategic Religious Partnership Training. I appreciate how the Army leadership is preparing chaplains for this essential mission of promoting peace and freedom in the region.
