Overview
The story is set during The Surge at the height of Iraq's sectarian civil war in 2006-2007. The screenplay highlights the heroic work of a U.S. Army chaplain, an Anglican priest, and brave Iraqi Muslim religious leaders to steer the country away from the brink.
With increasing global strife, audiences will welcome the movie's message of faith leaders risking their lives to bring peace. And as 2028 marks 25 years since the U.S. invasion, a film about American leadership and ingenuity saving lives will stand out.
Both a screenplay for film and a graphic novel adaptation are ready for production.
Background
The script reflects the realities of Iraq, based on my multiple visits the U.S. State Department and firsthand interviews with the main protagonists. I secured the life rights of the principal characters and registered the script. I paid for an experienced industry person to polish the dialogue and create the graphic novel adaptation.
